Solar Energy Solutions, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is seeking an experienced and innovative Solar Engineer to join our growing team in the Cincinnati, Ohio office. As a Solar Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design, analyze, and optimize solar PV systems, ensuring the highest level of performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities - Design solar PV systems, including layout, module placement, and inverter sizing
- Perform detailed system modeling and analysis to optimize energy production
- Create technical drawings, specifications, and other engineering documentation
- Collaborate with project managers, installation teams, and customers to ensure seamless project execution
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations
- Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of solar energy systems
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate feasibility and design requirements
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and project evaluations
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in solar PV system design and analysis
- Familiarity with industry software and tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and codes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
