Job Description
Qualities/skills for position: Strong & physically able to carry out labor intensive tasks and do some heavy lifting. Knowledge and experience handling horses, preferably, stable hand/groom experience. Attention to detail, organized, and tidy. Pride in job; works efficiently and effectively; can stay on task, follow direction.
Duties of position: Loading/unloading hay bales; moving 50lb grain bags; mucking 4 turnout areas + 11 stalls & runs; use of ATV to dump manure to storage bins; use of tractor for moving shavings and dragging arena; light repairing of fences and hay bags; horse turnout; grooming; making custom grain recipes fort 11 horses AM/PM; Feed hay 3x/day; cleaning stable.
*Must have a smartphone. Staff use a couple of apps for feeding, communication, scheduling, time clock, and inventory.
