Job Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role includes ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Operation:

    • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products and materials.
    • Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves.
    • Stack and organize materials in designated areas using forklifts.
  2. Material Handling:

    • Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks.
    • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage.
  3. Inventory Management:

    • Perform inventory counts and keep records of material movements.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by reporting discrepancies.
  4. Safety Compliance:

    • Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment.
    • Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or repair needs.
    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  5. Loading and Unloading:

    • Load and unload products from trucks and containers.
    • Verify the accuracy of shipments received and shipped out.
  6. Quality Control:

    • Inspect products for defects or damage and report any issues to the supervisor.
    • Ensure products are handled and stored according to company standards.
  7. Workplace Organization:

    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Ensure that materials, tools, and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  8. Documentation:

    • Complete and maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory counts, and equipment inspections.
    • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation as needed.

Collaborate with warehouse, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure accurate documentation and smooth workflows.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements for tracking electronic components.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
