Job Title: Summer Product Intern

Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid work, but intern must be local)

Type: Internship (Part-time, 20-30 hours/week)

Duration: Summer 2025 (8–12 weeks)

Compensation: Unpaid; school credit available

We are on a mission to uplift small-scale farmers through technology and storytelling. Our Portland-based lean team is building a marketplace platform that connects local farmers with buyers.

Role Overview

As a Summer Product Intern, you’ll work closely with our product team to support the end-to-end product management lifecycle. You'll help organize and manage projects, assist with customer interviews and research, perform UI/UX testing, and support QA and bug reporting. This is a hands-on internship where your voice will be heard, your work will make a difference, and you'll walk away with real product management experience.

This internship is unpaid and intended for students seeking to earn academic credit as part of their college or university program.

Key Responsibilities

Product Research & Discovery

  • Assist with customer interviews and surveys to gather user feedback.
  • Analyze user insights and help translate them into actionable product improvements.
  • Conduct user and market research.

Project Management

  • Support day-to-day product development tasks using project management tools like Notion.
  • Help track progress against timelines and milestones.
  • Coordinate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to keep features on track.

UI/UX Testing

  • Support usability testing of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Document pain points and usability issues from a user’s perspective.
  • Help synthesize findings and recommend design improvement.

QA & Bug Reporting

  • Test new features and document bugs across web and mobile experiences.
  • Reproduce and describe bugs clearly for the development team.
  • Track bug resolution and retest fixes as needed.

Internship Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university program and eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.
  • Must be able to commit at least 20–30 hours per week during the internship period.
  • Approval from your academic advisor or internship coordinator confirming credit eligibility.
  • Availability to attend in-person meetings at our office space in SE Portland during core work hours
  • Availability to attend farm visits or customer events to interact with users

  • Passionate about food systems, small businesses, or community-driven tech.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Notion, Airtable, or customer research tools.
  • Previous internship or class project involving product development or UX design.
