DIVISION: Community Wellness Outpatient Mental Health Center (CWOMHC)

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Operations Manager

CLASSIFICATION: W2 or 1099, Part-Time

WORK SCHEDULE: 8-16 hours per week, flexible scheduling (1-2 eight hour days per week)

COMPENSATION RANGE: negotiable

ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: None 100% remote, telehealth-based role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct telehealth evaluations with clients who have not been seen within the last six months (approximately 5 hours/week).
• Review client charts and clinical documentation to ensure quality, necessity, and appropriateness of care (approximately 5 hours/week).
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to therapists, case managers, and Clinical Supervisors (approximately 5 hours/week).
• Prescribe or authorize appropriate care plans and treatment interventions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, clinical case reviews, and staff development activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Support compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a collaborative and consultative relationship with all members of the care team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to work at a computer and sit for extended periods.
• Requires verbal communication via video conferencing.
• Must maintain visual attention and manual dexterity for EHR use and documentation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Fully remote, telehealth-based position.
• Must have secure, high-speed internet access and a confidential, professional home work environment.
• Schedule flexibility is permitted within the scope of the 15-hour weekly requirement.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

• Strong understanding of outpatient and community-based mental health practices.
• Ability to supervise and guide interdisciplinary clinical teams effectively.
• Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and care planning.
• Proficiency with EHR platforms and HIPAA-compliant telehealth systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to ethical and culturally competent care.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Maryland.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology), or completion of an ACGME-accredited psychiatric residency.

Preferred:

• Experience in outpatient or community mental health settings.
• Familiarity with supervision practices and interdisciplinary team models.
• Prior use of electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
