100% Remote but Florida based a plus

The Project Manager provides clear leadership from project kick-off to project closure, creates alignment between all stakeholders, and partners with the business owners to set a clear purpose with focused objectives for the project team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This is an individual that has demonstrated experience managing medium to large complexity projects made up of business and technical resources, some of whom may be external resources, business partners or vendors. The Project Manager will be expected to a.) Manage highly cross functional projects with high EBITDA values, and b.) Act as a Mentor teaching the fundamentals of project management to Department Project Managers training them to effectively execute projects within their department. The Project Manager will be responsible for teaching the importance of scope, schedule, budget, and resource management to spread the importance of an execution culture within the organization. 

This Project Manager will manage Data & Interface Projects. Must have prior SDLC background.
  • They are responsible for developing project schedules, updating milestones and status reports, responding to roadblocks and escalating risks as appropriate. The Project Manager is experienced in leadership, problem solving, persuasion, conflict resolution, dealing with ambiguity and building rapport with the team and customer. 
  • Ability to problem solve and think on their feet. Displays strong critical thinking skills. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate effectively both upward and downward within the organization (written and verbal)
  • Presentation skills: Ability to present ideas to both upper management and entry level resources
  • Passion to coach/mentor team members on the fundamentals of project management including leading project teams to meet deadlines, development of project schedules; coaching the fundamentals of budget, issue, risk management, resource allocation and change management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Demonstrated facilitation between business units and technology groups
  • Flexible and able to change to the needs of the day- to- day requirements
  • Familiarity with, and a working knowledge of, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and other related software
  • Experience with Project business case development 
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies is desired - Sprint Planning, Scrums
  • Experience working with vendors and developing the above deliverables
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer expectations
  • Collaborate with project team in building project scope, timeline, and allocating resources.
  • Act as a mentor/coach to other project managers in teaching the fundamentals of scope, schedule, budget, and resource mgmt. 
  • Define staffing requirements and manage project resources.
  • Communicate regular progress updates to executive leadership and project team
  • Build relationships between management across departments 
  • Monitor and maintain project deliverable schedule, milestones, and required task against budget, scope and timelines and initiates Change Management processes as appropriate. 
  • Anticipate and resolve project issues or risks, removing barriers, creating, and implementing contingency plans, and escalating issues to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Communicate plans, status, and issues within the project team, including business members, and executive management. Serve as the primary point of communication for the project.
  • Coordinate activities and develop and maintains relationships with the customers. Ensure the business needs and objectives are met by the project.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required 
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with managing multiple projects to successful completion.
