Technical Sales Engineer. Lufkin U.S. Acquisition Company, in Dickinson, North Dakota. Responsibilities: Drive revenue growth for all of Lufkin's products and services in the region. Build relationships at all levels of their customer's organization to understand their needs so they might recommend the best product or service solution to meet those needs. Provide engineering expertise on rod lift and artificial lift systems to develop business with new and existing customers. Process and apply detailed technical product knowledge to meet customer's production targets. Work with customers to provide technical support and service regarding Lufkin systems including usage, operation, and maintenance schedule. Determine and evaluate optimum artificial lift solutions offered by Lufkin to optimize production, production capacity and manage/reduce production constraints. Participate in project technical reviews and review proposals to ensure efficient/economic operations and to ensure customers receive high quality customer service. Identify prospective customers to understand rod lift needs and drivers. Understand and effectively communicate our value proposition to our customers by championing new Lufkin technologies aimed at improving well productivity and efficiency while ultimately reducing customer artificial lift lifting costs. Uses a combination of artificial lift product and application knowledge to propose solutions, products and services that solve customer problems. Maintain a written, measurable sales plan for accounts in their assigned region. Contribute to achieving or exceeding sales revenue goals for product lines and accounts in the region. Maintain professional relationship with appropriate office, field and/or technical level contacts with each of their assigned accounts in the region to identify decision makers, influencers, and coaches in our customer's organization. Evaluate market trends and competitor intelligence that might affect current or future sales growth strategies in the Rockies region. Assist customers in ensuring pumping units are maintained and operating as designed within recommended specifications. Recommend changes in products for current customers by evaluating needs, issues, and results. Build and negotiate initial scope of work with clients. Recommend and specify well modification and artificial lift programs to maximize oil and gas recovery. Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related degree. 2 years of experience in any customer relations role in the oil and gas industry. 2 years of experience with artificial lift systems, rod lift, ESPs, and gas lift. Demonstrated experience performing production system analysis (artificial lift), interpreting drilling, completion, and production data. Demonstrated experience drafting oilfield operation best practices. Demonstrated experience evaluating underperforming oil and gas wells through data collection and analytics. Demonstrated experience developing cost estimates for artificial list systems, rod lift, ESPs, and gas lift solutions. Travel to domestic worksite locations: 25%.
