Proficiency in Windows, Apple and Microsoft 365 environments.

Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including Wi?Fi, LAN, and IP addressing.

Provide first?level technical support for computers, printers, interactive panels, display panels, projectors, and other school?based technology.

Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripheral devices.

Support teachers and staff with the use of instructional technology tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365).

Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems to district IT staff.

Collaborate with IT department staff to implement updates, patches, and security protocols.

Assist with the setup and support of online testing environments and digital assessments.

Document support requests, resolutions, and recurring issues to inform future improvements.

Participate in district?wide technology rollouts, migrations, and special projects.

Adhere to district IT policies, data privacy standards, and cybersecurity best practices.

Assist with imaging and deployment of new devices across school sites.

Position Summary

The Technology Support Specialist provides on?site technical support for faculty, staff and students, ensuring the smooth operation of all instructional and administrative technology. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software systems, supporting classroom technology integration, and assisting with district?wide technology initiatives.

Minimum Requirements


  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in computer information systems recommended, or technical certification preferred.
  • Relevant Certifications: CompTIA and A+ preferred, Microsoft Certifications, Dell Certifications and Certified Cybersecurity Awareness Professional (CCAP).
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2?3 years of experience in Information Technology support, preferably in an educational setting.

Physical Abilities and Working Conditions

Vision and Hearing: Ability to read small print and view a computer screen for prolonged periods of time and tolerate exposure to noisy conditions.

Speech: Ability to be understood in face?to?face communications, to speak with a level of proficiency and volume to be understood over a telephone, computer, or virtual setting.

Upper Body Mobility: Ability to use hands to grasp and manipulate small objects; manipulate fingers; twist and bend at wrist and elbows; extend arms to reach outward and upward; use hands and arms to lift objects; turn, raise, and lower head.

Strength: Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects which weigh fifteen (15) or more pounds on a frequent basis.

Environmental Requirements: Ability to work cooperatively with others as well as independently.

Mental Requirements: Ability to read, write, understand, interpret, and apply information on a moderately complex level essential for successful job performance; math skills at a proficiency level appropriate to the position; sound judgement; the ability to process information quickly; learn quickly and follow verbal procedures.
