About the Role

As a CLS/MT, you will be a vital part of a small, critical access facility, performing essential lab tests that impact patient outcomes. Your responsibilities include sample processing, phlebotomy, and supporting the clinical laboratory team. With scheduled days from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on-call shifts, this position offers a balanced work schedule with opportunities to grow your experience in a collaborative environment.

Required Skills

• Valid Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification
  
• Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience, preferably in a critical access or small facility setting
  
• Strong proficiency in laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, and laboratory equipment
  
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during on-call shifts
  
• Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
  

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience in a rural or small community hospital setting
  
• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR)
  
• Additional certifications such as ASCP, NCA, or equivalent
  

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
  
• At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience
  
• Prior experience in critical access or outpatient setting is a plus
  

Other Requirements

• On-call availability from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 1–2 shifts per week, including one weekend per month
  
• Ability to relocate to Malta, Montana, with housing provided — shared accommodations if traveling alone or private housing if with family
  
• Must have or be willing to obtain necessary state licensure and certifications
