Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Nurse Shift Manager role in an acute care Emergency Department, requiring a CA RN license and strong management or charge RN experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in the Emergency Department within an acute care hospital setting
• Nurse Shift Manager role responsible for management and clinical support on night shifts
• Shift schedule is 12-hour nights with every other weekend required
• First to float as needed within the department
• May be required to take patients and provide direct patient care when necessary
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Responsibilities include managing and supporting the department, covering charge nurse duties, triaging ambulance patients, starting IVs, and administering medications as needed
• Traveler will provide clinical support wherever required within the department
• Orientation includes 12 hours
• Night shift dress code and additional details provided upon assignment
• Floating within the Emergency Department as needed
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
• Strong charge RN or management experience in an emergency department setting required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS (AHA or APEX), PALS
• Must provide two professional references: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
• Pending licenses or certifications are not accepted
