Hours: 19:00 - 07:00

Location

Unit Information

• Unit: Inpatient Rehab


• Number of Beds: 35


• Patient Ratios: 5-7 patients per nurse


• Staffing: 2-4 Techs per census


• Equipment: Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, Bladder scanner


• Documentation System: Meditech


• Scheduling Requirements: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend


• Floating Policy: May float to other Med Surg departments

Patient Experience Requirements

• Rehab experience preferred

Hiring Profile

Must Have:

• Med/Surg or PCU experience


• BLS certification


• Virginia State License

Preferred:

• Rehab experience

Advanced Skills Needed:

• None required

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Medication administration, including IVs, PICC, and PEG tube administration


• Bladder scans and care


• Tube feeding


• Foley catheter placement and bladder irrigation


• Blood administration

Dress Code

Navy blue or white solid scrubs
