Position Overview: Are you a Wireless Retail Sales superstar? Are you tired of retail hours and unattainable sales quotas? Or have you worked in B2B or wholesale channels in the telecom/wireless industries and are looking for a change? If so, Vertex Wireless may have an opportunity for you! We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and motivated Wireless Phone Sales Professional to join our sales team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in telecommunications sales, excellent relationship-building skills, strong analytics, and a passion for providing exceptional service to business clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition & Management:
    • Identify and target potential business clients for wholesale wireless phone sales and solutions.
    • Understand and communicate information regarding Vertex products, services, policies, and procedures to new and existing clients.
    • Develops and maintains strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to drive sales growth.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups and meetings to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Sales Strategy Development:
    • Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Supports sales team in their channel by sourcing products outside of direct OEM relationships.
    • Attends and participates in business/trade events that impact business unit.
    • Maintains thorough knowledge of OEM’s, VAR’s, and Wireless Device Distribution industry.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Maintain a deep understanding of our wireless phone products, model numbers, services, and industry trends.
    • Develop process for identifying and tracking open market wholesale pricing
    • Provides product demos to qualified customers on request.
  • Negotiation & Closing:
    • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients.
    • Negotiate pricing and terms to close deals effectively.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with marketing and operations teams to align sales efforts and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Provide feedback on product performance and customer needs to help shape future offerings.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Track and report on sales metrics, client feedback, and market developments.
    • Use CRM tools to manage client interactions and sales processes effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in wireless phone sales or B2B sales in the telecommunications or wireless industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of wireless technology and mobile phone products.
  • Proficiency with eCommerce platforms a plus
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • High level of motivation and ability to work without constant direct supervision
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Experience using ChatGPT or AI platforms a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
