Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Proofreader to join our content team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and correcting written materials to ensure clarity, consistency, grammar, and adherence to brand or style guidelines. The ideal candidate will have exceptional language skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Review and proofread various types of content including articles, blog posts, marketing materials, reports, and more.Ensure correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure.Check for consistency in tone, style, formatting, and terminology.Collaborate with writers, editors, and other team members to ensure high-quality content.Fact-check information and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.Maintain and apply style guides and brand voice across all materials.Qualifications:Proven experience as a proofreader, editor, or similar role.Excellent command of the English language.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Familiarity with major style guides (AP, Chicago, MLA, etc.).Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.Proficiency in using editing tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Grammarly, or editing software.Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field (preferred but not required).Benefits (if applicable):Flexible scheduleRemote work environmentOpportunities for growth and professional developmentCompetitive compensation
