About the Role

The Company is seeking an inaugural Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO) to join its Executive Team. The CFOO will be responsible for leading the organization's finance, human resources, and operational functions, with a focus on scaling impact and increasing annual revenue. This strategic leader will oversee high-level fiscal management, accounting, contract administration, risk mitigation, and organizational compliance. Key responsibilities include coordinating annual operations and resourcing plans, providing strong leadership, and fostering a culture of equity, inclusion, and transparency. The CFOO will also be tasked with functional oversight of various teams, leading strategic management, and ensuring the organization is well-equipped to meet its mission. The ideal candidate for the CFOO position at the company will have over 10 years' of executive leadership experience in finance, with a preference for those who have supported social-impact organizations. They should be adept at managing cross-functional teams, developing and evolving budget processes, and be comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments. The role requires a proven track record in improving workflows, scaling processes, and building systems that support a high-performance culture. The CFOO will also be expected to have experience in overseeing audits, financial system integration, and CRM tools, as well as the ability to secure and manage a Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement (NICRA). Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a commitment to mission-driven work are essential.
