Position Overview:
- Earn $2,400 biweekly (specific weekly requirements will be discussed during the interview).
- Potential to earn $65,000 or more annually.
- Shift runs Monday to Friday with dispatch times between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM.
About the Role:
The Class A Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck on various routes to deliver food and related products to customers. You'll adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and engage with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct all required safety checks (e.g., pre/post trip) for the tractor/truck and trailer in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Report safety issues promptly and adhere to all driving regulations and company policies.
- Inspect trailer to ensure freight is properly loaded and secured.
- Perform count checks and verify customer invoices for loaded products.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately regarding freight.
- Transport tractor to loading docks and attach preloaded trailers as necessary.
- Deliver customer orders following a predetermined route delivery schedule.
- Unload products and transport them to designated customer storage areas.
- Conduct damage control checks on delivered items and communicate with supervisors as required.
- Verify delivery and obtain necessary signatures; ensure vehicle security at all times.
- Manage damaged goods and customer returns as per company policy.
- Keep accurate records of hours of service and maintain logs in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the tractor and loading dock areas.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required. 12+ months of commercial tractor/trailer experience is necessary, along with a valid CDL-A license. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the last 3 years, and pass post-offer drug and road tests. A current DOT Health Card is required, or the ability to secure one. Physical demands include the ability to lift and maneuver product cases/freight weighing 10-90 pounds throughout the shift.
