Job Title: Coffee Shop Supervisor (Milk House)

Job Summary:
Lodging Dynamics is seeking an enthusiastic Coffee Shop Supervisor (Milk House) to lead our Milk House Coffee Shop team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, mentor baristas, and ensure exceptional coffee service and product quality aligned with brand standards. Your leadership will drive efficiency, creativity, and adherence to health and safety protocols while fostering a welcoming environment for customers and staff. Weekend availability is required to support our bustling operations.

Essential Job Functions:
Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, train, and inspire baristas, fostering a collaborative and positive workplace culture.

• Conduct regular performance check-ins and provide constructive feedback to enhance team skills.

• Schedule shifts and manage staffing needs to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Operational Excellence:

• Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and workflow efficiency.

• Manage inventory for coffee, milk, and supplies, placing orders with approved vendors.

• Perform preventative maintenance on espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.

Quality Control & Customer Experience:

• Ensure consistency in coffee preparation (e.g., espresso, latte art, brewing methods) and presentation.

• Develop seasonal coffee specials (e.g., holiday-themed drinks, signature blends) to engage customers.

• Resolve customer concerns promptly and build relationships with regular patrons.

Compliance & Safety:

• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

• Ensure team compliance with food handling protocols and company policies.

Administrative Duties:

• Utilize POS systems to track sales trends and manage inventory levels.

• Assist in budget management by minimizing waste and optimizing resource use.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Valid Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Skills & Abilities:

• 1+ year of supervisory experience in a coffee shop or fast-paced hospitality environment .

• Barista expertise in espresso preparation, brewing methods, and latte art.

• Strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts, motivate teams, and connect with customers.

• Proficiency with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Square) and inventory tools.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 20 lbs (e.g., coffee bean bags, milk kegs).

Weekend Availability:

• Required to work Saturdays and/or Sundays to meet business demands.
