Commercial Roofing Service Superintendent

Location: Austin, TX

Compensation: $70,000–$85,000+ (DOE)

Schedule: Full-Time / Field-Based Service Leadership Role

About the Opportunity

Tiello is partnered with a well-established and nationally recognized commercial roofing contractor seeking a Commercial Roofing Service Superintendent to support and lead day-to-day service field operations. This role oversees multiple service crews, ensuring high-quality leak response, repairs, preventive maintenance, and warranty work across commercial, municipal, and government facilities.

The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with deep service experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple fast-paced jobs simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and supervise service foremen and technicians across active service jobs
• Ensure all repairs, leak calls, preventive maintenance, and warranty work are completed safely and to company standards
• Partner with the Service Manager to schedule daily and weekly crew assignments, material loading, and equipment needs
• Monitor work in progress, including labor hours, material usage, and overall safety compliance
• Respond to emergency service requests and make prompt decisions in the field
• Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, building owners, and general contractors
• Ensure foremen receive complete job information before dispatch
• Review and approve service reports, photos, and documentation; ensure timely upload into systems (Dataforma or similar)
• Support proposal and change-order preparation by providing accurate field notes and scope details
• Assist with warranty inspections and service audits to maintain manufacturer compliance
• Maintain strict safety ownership of all service job sites, including toolbox talks and incident reporting
• Train, mentor, and coach service foremen and technicians to support technical growth and customer service standards
• Oversee inventory for service materials, tools, and equipment, coordinating replenishment as needed
• Complete daily and weekly field reports detailing service activity, labor, and job conditions

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory, foreman, or superintendent role within service/repair work
• Strong knowledge of commercial roof systems (single-ply, built-up, modified bitumen, coatings, metal, etc.)
• Proven ability to manage multiple small-scale service jobs with fast turnaround times
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
• Proficient with basic computer skills; Dataforma or similar software experience preferred
• OSHA 30 required; EM 385 or CQM certifications are a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely at roof heights
