Beyond Mission Capable Solutions (BMCS) LLC is a trusted partner in the cyber community. Our clients in the Department of Defense, Air Force, Space Force and Federal Aviation have adopted our solutions for cybersecurity acquisition, implementation, and operational risk management challenges while planning for emerging security threats. As technologically sophisticated attacks are increasing, we are looking to grow our team of laser-focused cybersecurity engineers. Position: Cybersecurity Engineer Intern Duration: TBD Weeks (Dates: TBD) Work Hours: 32 hours per week. Location: Concord, MA. Overview: We are seeking an internship candidate who has entry-level computer networking, computing, and cybersecurity experience.Join our cybersecurity team for a hands-on internship experience. This position is designed for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field, offering a blend of real-world development projects, mentorship, and skill enhancement. The Cybersecurity Engineering intern will be trained to independently perform the following responsibilities : Collaborate with Cybersecurity Engineering teams on performing security reviews and audits of cloud service providers to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Engage in the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities within our cloud infrastructure. Implement security controls and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention solutions, to safeguard our environment. Utilize cloud service offerings to deploy virtual machines, deploy tools, and interpret security logs Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies through continuous research and professional development. Requirements: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with a strong academic record. A solid foundation in cybersecurity principles, with coursework or project experience in database management, cybersecurity, and software engineering. Engagement in extracurricular activities such as peer mentoring or supplemental instruction in computer science-related courses. An eagerness to learn and embrace new challenges. A goal-oriented mindset. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
