Job Description

Salary: $72,150 - 130,425 per year Requirements:

  • I must have experience interacting with customers to handle service inquiries and issues.
  • I should have a background working in a data center.
  • I need to possess knowledge of data center standards and best practices.
  • I should understand power infrastructure layout, including redundancy levels and techniques, rack standards, properties, power rail/strip options, and containment standards for fire suppression, security, and safety.
  • I must have experience in Tier 2 system administration.
  • I should have experience troubleshooting issues in a dynamic environment.
  • I need to possess time management skills.
  • I should have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • I must have a proven ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with peers for improved processes and results.
  • I should be familiar with IT Service Management (ITSM) products such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • I need to have experience mentoring others.
Responsibilities:
  • I will be responsible for employing rack-level redundancy techniques, adhering to rack standards, and ensuring the proper selection criteria for power rail/strip options, as well as maintaining compliance with security and safety standards.
  • I will support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, swiftly identifying isolated user issues.
  • I will coordinate with customers and stakeholders to gather data, conduct analyses, and develop and implement solutions related to incident tickets and requirements.
  • I will be tasked with developing solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • I will provide follow-up reports detailing technical findings, feedback, and resolution steps for root cause analyses, engineering assessments, and process improvements.
  • I will need to support customer requirements in a continuous operations environment and be prepared to respond to after-hours emergency situations, such as power or cooling disruptions.
  • I will update operations and maintenance documentation for ongoing personnel.
  • I will also mentor junior team members and provide support to other Infrastructure Operations teams based on my skills and experience in System Administration.
