**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage the Care Services Department to provide quality care for residents.
- Act as the liaison between residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers on health issues.
- Deliver hands-on care in accordance with state law and Five Star Senior Living policies.
- Support the philosophy and standards of the Resident Services department.
- Ensure that care meets residents' personal, physical, and cognitive needs while promoting independence and social interaction.
- Stay updated on OSHA and state regulations, monitoring compliance in resident care.
- Organize and efficiently staff the Resident Services Department.
- Evaluate staff performance and ensure compliance with regulations and budget use.
- Implement effective infection control practices and ensure adequate training.
- Oversee staffing schedules and manage hiring, orientation, and performance reviews.
- Train team members on incident reporting, particularly for falls.
