Job Description

Family in Indian River Shores, Florida (Vero Beach) has an opening for a Live on-site Houseman/Property caretaker. The home is a single-family residence with two (2) principals, and is an 8k sq ft, beachfront property sitting on ~1.5 acres. This is a secondary residence, and the family spends time between Florida and a residence in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The duties require general maintenance and oversight of the property (interior and exterior), light maintenance, cleaning and handyperson duties, occasional cooking for the family and assisting with various errands and special dinners/entertainment events, and periodic incidental driving for principals.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

Start Date: The position starts in November/December 2024

Live-In Accommodation - A brand new detached guest house on property (successful candidate can assist with guidance on final guest house finishes/appointments).

Job Duties;

• Property caretaker and general maintenance of the residence, inside and outside.
• Perform general inside household upkeep duties to include bathroom & kitchen cleaning (including appliances), vacuuming, dusting and mopping, as needed. Periodic care for fine furnishings, polishing silvers etc. Principals have outside housekeepers for 2X monthly deep cleaning, to be supervised by candidate.
• Laundry and occasional Ironing, including pressing household linens, bedsheet, napkins, etc., as needed.
• General grounds maintenance including cleaning and upkeep of outdoor cooking area, cabanas, patios and pool areas, periodic exterior hardware conditioning and light pressure washing, flower gardening, pot maintenance, light bulb/landscape lighting upkeep, etc.
• Maintaining household appliances, equipment and systems, including oversight of landscape, pool, HVAC, appliance repair and other contractors
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, dry cleaning pickup, etc.
• Occasionally assist principals with light meal preparation, special dinner and entertainment events, etc.
• Periodic incidental (generally evening) driving for principals; periodically take vehicles to be cleaned, per request of principals
• All other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum five years' experience or related skills
• Reference from previous employer

Salary & Benefits: $6k/Month, PTO. Housing provided. Other benefits to be determined
