Position Overview: As the Marketing Content Manager at Pharos you will play a pivotal role in driving our brand visibility and engagement through strategic content creation and optimization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop compelling content that resonates with our target audience across various platforms. 

Location: This is a Remote/Telecommute eligible position, however preference is given to candidates in the West Coast for time zone alignment with the team. The company does have headquarters in Rochester NY and candidates in the Rochester area can elect to work in person in our NY office.

Salary: $78,000 - $84,000 annually, plus up to 5% annual bonus

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute content strategies in alignment with marketing objectives, working closely with product marketing and demand generation teams.
  • Create engaging written content including blogs, social media posts, eBooks, press releases, and marketing collateral that reflects our brand voice and style.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry topics and collaborate with subject matter experts as needed.
  • Proofread, revise, and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, video producers, and other content creators to ensure cohesive content presentation.
  • Ensure the website reflects the latest product updates, news, company information as well as supporting demand gen programs.
  • Optimize website content regularly to enhance SEO, user engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Develop and execute organic social media strategies to increase followers and drive traffic to our website.
  • Monitor and report on website and social media performance, analyzing content effectiveness and making adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Content Manager, Copywriter, or similar role in a marketing or digital agency environment.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a portfolio of published articles or content samples.
  • Experience in SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Knowledge of WordPress and social media platforms.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and ability to drive content innovation.
