Job Description
Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles and motorized equipment.
Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to ensure all vehicles are safe, reliable, and in working condition.
Maintain vehicle records, perform oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and other basic mechanical services.
Support warehouse and operations teams by ensuring equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and utility carts are operational.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the motor pool yard and work area.
Coordinate with supervisors on needed parts, repairs, or scheduled maintenance downtime.
Display strong work ethic and honesty; adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Engage work with a high sense of urgency and be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Use appropriate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
Accurately complete maintenance logs, service reports, and inspection checklists.
Ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Assist with transporting company vehicles to external vendors for specialty services when required.
Follow safety protocols when working on or around moving vehicles and mechanical systems.
Additional job duties may be added at any time.
Basic mechanical knowledge of gas and diesel engines, vehicle electrical systems, and small engine repair.
Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, utility vehicles, and generators is preferred.
Ability to read and understand service manuals, diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
Forklift experience is highly desired (training provided).
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent .
Minimum Experience Required: 2 years of automotive or equipment maintenance experience .
Ability to read and write in English and understand basic math.
Comfortable using tools such as lifts, jacks, wrenches, multimeters, and scan tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs .
Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, and work in tight or awkward positions for extended periods.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
Comfortable working around machinery, vehicles, and potentially loud environments.
