INTRODUCTION:

A professional family in Atherton, CA, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented housekeeper to join their household team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a keen eye for cleanliness and organization, and a service-oriented mindset. This position is well-suited for a discreet and adaptable individual who takes pride in maintaining a high-end residence. Prior experience in luxury homes or five-star hospitality is preferred. DUTIES:

Home Cleaning and Organization:

• Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of the residence, ensuring all rooms remain pristine and well-maintained.
• Follow specific cleaning procedures for designated areas, preserving high-end furnishings and finishes.
• Conduct deep cleaning as necessary to uphold the household's luxury standards.

Professional Laundry & Ironing:

• Manage the washing, drying, ironing, folding, and organization of household garments.
• Care for delicate fabrics and high-end clothing, ensuring proper handling.

Kitchen and Dining Support:

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including countertops, appliances, and storage areas.
• Wash and store tableware and cookware.
• Assist with basic food preparation or meal setup as needed (cooking skills are a plus).

Environmental Inspection & Maintenance:

• Regularly inspect the home for any maintenance issues and report them promptly.
• Perform minor household maintenance tasks or coordinate with service providers for repairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas such as patios and terraces.

Inventory Management & Replenishment:

• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and household essentials.
• Organize storage areas and report shortages or damages.

Supplier/Visitor Assistance:

• Prepare designated areas for vendor visits or maintenance services.
• Supervise service providers to ensure household safety and efficiency.
• Greet guests with professionalism and provide assistance as needed.

Safety Awareness & Reporting:

• Identify and report safety hazards such as leaks, electrical issues, or fire risks.
• Maintain household privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Assist in emergency procedures, including evacuation if necessary.

Driving and Transportation Services (Preferred):

• Provide safe and timely transportation services for the family on weekends or as needed.
• Ensure vehicles remain clean, fueled, and well-maintained.
• Follow all traffic regulations and prioritize passenger safety.

Equipment & Tools Custody:

• Properly handle and maintain household cleaning tools and appliances.
• Report any malfunctions and assist with repairs or replacements.

Team Collaboration and Additional Support:

• Work collaboratively with the household team and house manager.
• Adapt to schedule changes, including occasional overtime, weekend, or holiday shifts.
• Provide additional domestic support as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior experience in luxury home housekeeping or five-star hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, fabric care, and high-end garment maintenance.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning and organizational tasks.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. with the ability to pass a background check.
• Annual flu vaccination required.
• Reliable transportation to commute to Atherton, CA.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred but not required).
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment health screenings.
• Cooking skills and driving experience are a plus.
