You will work closely with the accounting team to perform various tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner. Process all insurance, utilities, and real estate taxes for all properties. Maintain all trackers and schedules to ensure all are paid timely. Process accounts receivable tasks, including billing invoices, tenant collections, and posting payments. Manage all returned tenant check transactions. Process all new leases and renewals in the accounting system. Manage tenant security deposits and cash accounts. Calculate management fees and bill accordingly. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy. Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet items. Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and customer records. Prepare form 1099 for vendors as needed. Scanning documents and file maintenance. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related inquiries and discrepancies. Perform ad-hoc financial and administrative tasks as assigned by management. Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records, including journal entries and general ledger postings. Assist with audits as needed with compiling of backup and response. Assist with monthly financial closing. Assist with general administrative tasks. Qualifications: 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in a corporate setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
