How You Will Make an Impact:Design custom cases, foam inserts for cases, and foam-related packaging solutions (e.g., electronics integrations in cases, 3D printing ports) Prepare designs for the production team by developing precise waterjet programming files to support efficient production workflows Verify the manufacturability of designs Oversee first article production and testing to confirm design integrity and performance Monitor and maintain quality standards to ensure all products meet customer expectations Lead the design and prototyping of special projects, including 3D-printed accessories and electronic integrations within custom cases Utilize tools and platforms such as Outlook, ClickUp, TurboCAD, and SolidWorks to manage design tasks and communication Draft design requirements to suit customer needs To Be Successful in This Role, You Must: Communicate effectively with customers and team members to support project success Work with various departments, including production and warehouse, to review designs, troubleshoot, and ensure quality execution Help establish an efficient and defined product development process Maintain a list of future product ideas and potential R&D strategy Serve as a design reviewer on other team members designs Support an environment of continuous improvement by working effectively and efficiently Support and follow configuration management policies by maintaining well-organized, accessible designs and documentation, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and complianceWork within and meet tight deadlinesImpress customers by the designs and products To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have: Formal engineering/CAD education Engineering CAD experience 2D/3D modeling 3D printing Experience with SolidWorks or similar modeling software Preferred:Experience designing metal componentsExperience designing with off-the-shelf latches, cable ports, etc. Pay, Perks & Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid vacation, holidays, and sick time401(k) with 4% matchGrowth opportunities in a creative, forward-thinking environment Ready to Apply?If you're ready to take your skills to the next level in a company where thoughtful design and meaningful work come together, wed love to meet you.
