About the Role:

The Spa Director is responsible for overseeing the overall operations and strategic direction of the spa facility to ensure an exceptional guest experience and profitable business performance. This role involves managing staff, developing and implementing spa services and programs, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The Spa Director collaborates closely with other departments to align spa offerings with the broader goals of the organization and to drive revenue growth. They are also tasked with budgeting, financial management, and marketing initiatives to maximize spa utilization and profitability. Ultimately, the Spa Director ensures that the spa operates efficiently, complies with all health and safety regulations, and fosters a welcoming and relaxing environment for all guests.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in spa management or a similar leadership role within the wellness industry.
  • Proven track record of managing spa operations, including staff supervision, budgeting, and customer service excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of spa treatments, wellness trends, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Spa Management or related professional accreditation.
  • Experience with luxury or resort spa environments.
  • Proficiency in spa management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Background in marketing or sales within the hospitality or wellness sectors.
  • Multilingual abilities to effectively serve a diverse clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and supervise spa staff including therapists, receptionists, and maintenance personnel to deliver outstanding service.
  • Develop and implement spa service menus, promotional campaigns, and wellness programs tailored to client needs and market trends.
  • Manage daily spa operations including scheduling, inventory control, and maintenance of spa equipment and facilities.
  • Prepare and oversee the spa budget, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote spa services and enhance customer engagement and retention.
  • Analyze customer feedback and operational data to continuously improve service quality and operational efficiency.
