Salary Range: 17.00 To 19.00 (USD) Hourly

Michigan Orthopedic Center is a mid sized orthopedic office in Lansing, MI, with 18 licensed healthcare providers. Our surgeons are all fellowship trained and offer premier orthopedic services in Mid Michigan. We offer a setting that is professional, agile and fast-paced.

We have an opening for a Surgery Scheduler to join our growing team at a busy medical facility. The ideal candidate for this position is required to have experience with the scheduling of surgical procedures and the ability to prioritize and manage large amounts of information. We're looking for an individual with excellent medical knowledge, the ability to work independently and in a team setting, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule patients for surgery with other medical professionals.
• Coordinate schedules to ensure high efficiency of the surgeon's time.
• Provide exceptional customer service to our patient population
• Have knowledge of and the ability to perform arithmetic calculations required for the job.
• Confer with physicians, nurses, and other surgeons to plan treatment for patients.
• Research insurance coverage and procedures for patients.
• Collect patient and insurance information.

Required: Customer Service Experience
Required: Medical Office Experience
Required: Medical Terminology Knowledge
