We have a 12+ month position for a Solidworks Tool/Mold Design Engineer. Candidate can work either at the Tucson, AZ or San Diego, CA location. Must be onsite. Job Description is as follows:

• Skills
• Candidate must have strong Solidworks experience
• Strong background w/plastic injection molded tools/cavities-MUST
• Experience with both hard and soft tooling. Ideal candidates will have experience designing molds used for high volume production of parts (think 5000-20,000 parts)
• Experience with Class 101 molds is ideal
• Someone with “white goods” tooling experience is ideal: handles for refrigerators, washing machines, clothes dryers, televisions, power tools. Molds used to manufacture Automotive headlight assemblies is another example of mass produced parts from molds.

Job Description:

Will be developing mold cavities and tools using Solidworks. These are high volume, Class 101 molds. Typical 16 to 32 cavity tools using various plastics.
