Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in an OB Office setting. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality images for patient evaluations, collaborate closely with providers, and work efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and calibrate ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings and positioning transducers for optimal image capture.
  
   

• Discuss with providers the necessity of ultrasound scans, address clinical concerns, and ensure appropriate imaging protocols are followed.
  
   

• Review prior imaging/reports prior to the exam. Communicate ultrasound findings to providers to support timely and accurate patient care decisions.
  
   

• Adhere to safety standards and perform routine quality control procedures.
  
   

• Perform both routine and complex imaging studies, with a focus on OB/GYN diagnostics.
  
   

• Recognize significant anatomy, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
  
   

• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly; report malfunctions and follow proper safety procedures (including lock/tag out if necessary).
  
   

• Submit high-quality images and documentation promptly for interpretation.
  
   

• Maintain a clean, organized environment including procedure rooms, storage areas, and patient spaces.
  
   

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards

Complexity of Work:

• Requires strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail.

• Must be able to remain focused and professional in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.

• Knowledge of specific order sets and related CPT Coding a plus

  
   

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions and uses PPE as required.
  
   

Interview Process:

• As part of the interview and shadowing experience, candidates will be required to perform a scan interview to demonstrate technical skills, image quality, and patient interaction.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required:
  
   

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to hire or transfer.
    Medical Sonographer credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) prior to hire or transfer.

  • OB/GYN-Abdominal Certification

  • Maintain Certification/Continuing Education Requirements
    
     

• Preferred:
  
   

  • NT (Nuchal Translucency) Certification — must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

  • EMR/ Athena proficiency
    
     

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of related experience, or an Associate's or Technical degree in a relevant field.
