in high school, I worked at a Slot Car Raceway and hobby shop. This place had the HUGE slot car tracks, like 100 to 450 foot long twisting tracks and the cars where about 6″ long….it was nutso.
I used to love our slotcar track..we used to butter the tires and watch them powerslide around turns…there was a slotcar store in the next town over in Vallejo and they had a drag race track and 2 other speedway style courses
