Swenson is a San Jose-based design-build firm with a rich history of delivering high-quality residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments across the Bay Area. As our architectural department continues to grow, we’re looking for a talented Job Captain to join our team and help bring our projects from concept through construction.

As a Job Captain , you will work closely with a Project Architect to lead the production of detailed construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and solve technical and design challenges throughout the design and construction process.

• Develop and coordinate detailed construction documents using Revit
• Resolve technical and design issues throughout project development
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and other consultants
• Ensure accuracy, code compliance, and constructability in documentation
• Support construction administration as needed
• Maintain quality control and meet project deadlines

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from a NAAB-accredited program
• Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience
• Proficiency in Revit is a must
• Strong knowledge of California Building Codes
• Demonstrated experience preparing full construction document sets
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and proactive problem-solver
• Experience in mixed-use, residential, or commercial projects preferred
