Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Jobseekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and real estate, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. $130,000 - $180,000 yearly

• Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
• Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
• Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
• Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
• Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process

• We need an attorney who can contribute to developing the strategy of a case and who knows where to find the rules of procedure to back up that case strategy
• We need an attorney who knows how to find your way around the courtroom and how to project confidence and competence when dealing with people on behalf of clients

• Skills and experience are important and valued, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations

• Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background
• Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required
• Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case

• Previous family law experience is highly desired - previous litigation experience required
• Experience in estate planning and probate is highly desired
• Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience
• Seasoned Family Law Attorney applicants are highly desired
