BEDO Brands is a collection of brands that focuses on hospitality and the wedding industry, including Bon Bon Belle Bridal Boutique, Mercantile Hall Event Venue, and 10 South Event Venue. BEDO Brands is a growth-focused company with plans to add additional venue and retail units. We are headquartered in Burlington, WI and the VP of Finance will be expected to office from HQ.

Job Overview

The VP of Finance is a Senior Leadership position responsible for overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization. Reporting directly to the Co-CEO, this role is critical to the company's financial management and strategic decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Oversees all financial activities and advises the CEOs on financial strategy

• Develops financial strategies and plans.
• Oversees financial reporting and budgeting.
• Ensures compliance with financial regulations.
• Manages risks and securing funding

2. Manages the accounting functions and ensures the accuracy of financial reporting.

• Prepares accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
• Supervises the accounting team.

3. Manages the company’s cash flow, investments, and financial risk.

• Manages cash flow and liquidity.
• Ensures adequate funding and managing debt.
• Develops strategies for cash management and capital structure.

4. Budgets, forecasts, and does financial planning to support strategic decision-making.

• Develops and manages the budget.
• Provides insights and analysis to support business decisions.
• Prepares management reports and dashboards.
• Supports strategic planning initiatives.
• Oversees month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconciles accounts and maintaining the general ledger.

Required Qualities:

• Law-abiding and extremely ethical.
• Growth-oriented. Experience in growth and scaling businesses is preferred.
• Must be a creative, energetic leader that actively and happily searches for ways for BEDO Brands to create value.
• Highly analytical brain.
• Must be expert-level with Excel.
• MBA preferred.
• Desire to grow into the CFO role.
