Since 2005, St. Louis Children's has been designated as a Magnet® hospital for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center® (ANCC). **Preferred Qualifications** **Role Purpose** Provides skilled assistance to anesthesiology providers, such as assisting with special procedures, preparing equipment and supplies and providing medications for use by anesthesiologists. **Responsibilities** + Prepares IV, central lines, and sets up transducers. Assists with rapid infusion of blood products, processes blood specimens, and completes EKG tests. + Sets up, primes, and calibrates various equipment.
