About the Role
The Company is in search of a visionary and strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission-driven nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with reinforcing the company's historic strengths and reimagining its future to meet the increasing demand for reliable, unbiased consumer information in a rapidly evolving marketplace. This critical leadership role requires a proven, senior executive with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a track record of change-oriented strategic vision setting and organizational leadership. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to define and implement ambitious plans that boost the company's revenue, organizational sustainability, and impact. They will also be responsible for aligning the company's social enterprise around shared goals of safety, sustainability, and fairness, and for engaging with consumers, industry, and government to drive positive change. The ideal candidate for the CEO position at the company will have a powerful sense of mission alignment, deep business acumen, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. They should be adept at setting and executing a strategic vision, leading diverse teams, and managing change. The role demands a leader who can balance the company's rich history and legacy with a forward-looking, entrepreneurial approach, and who is comfortable with ambiguity and calculated risk-taking. The CEO will be expected to have a significant influence both internally and externally, serving as a trusted source of information and as an influencer with a wide range of stakeholders. They must be transparent, collaborative, and able to build strong relationships, while also being resilient in the face of challenges and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
