I grew up riding and loving MX and longed to race it, but as a lot of us were back in the day, I was a kid with no money. Bob Hannah was the reason it was OK for me to get into BMX. The Hurricane was my hero. I ordered my first “real” BMX bike from that ad in particular; a red DG Rooster from that ad (I think it ran in Motocross Action or their mini bike mag).
